Madikeri

Bhagamandala
(39 km), is situated at the confluence of 3 rivers (the
Cauvery, the Kanika and the Sujyothi). The temple here, built in Kerala
style, has smaller shrines dedicated to various gods. It is also an
important bee keeping center.
Talacauvery
(44 km). This is a sacred pilgrim center among the Kodavas.
It is from here that the river Cauvery takes its birth. On October 17th
every year the river rises in the form of a bubbling spring. It is
believed that a bath on this day is auspicious.
Nisargadhama
Known for its calm, serene beauty, this place is an ideal
picnic spot visited by hundreds of tourists throughout the year.
Harangi Dam
Is a great picnic spot 36 km. from Madikeri.
Abbey Falls
(8 km). This waterfall created by Medikeri stream is a
beautiful picnic spot.
Iruppu Falls
Is a beautiful picnic spot on the way to Kutta from Gonikoppal.
